Why I started this blog

Like many people, weight has become a pretty big issue for me. I have never been really concerned with my weight, or what I looked like. After all, I'm already married, who do I need to impress? (that's a joke btw).
I have never been what you would call small. For most of my life I was just a little bigger than average, always wore around a 12 or 14 in pants sizes, an average 36 B up top. I've never wanted to be rail thin.
But after 3 kids, and not enough time to take care of myself, I HAVE gotten bigger. Add that to two Gestional Diabetic pregnancies which pretty much guarantees that I will develop Type II one day, and a couple of rounds of high blood pressure that required medication for a short time period, I really need to reassess my health. This is going to be the recording of my journey.
